1. Dates & Venue.
The 47th APCC COCOTECH Conference will be held on 26 - 30 September 2016 in Bali, Indonesia. The venue of the Conference is Ramada Bintang Bali Resort, Jl. Kartika Plaza, Kuta, Bali, Indonesia.
2. Organization of the Meeting.
The 47th APCC COCOTECH Conference will be organized by the Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Trade who will provide the host facilities for the Conference including conference luncheons and refreshments. The sponsored dinners would as listed in the program of event.
3. Theme and Scope of the 47th COCOTECH Conference.
The theme of the Conference is "Innovations that Promote Inclusive Growth and
Sustainability of the Coconut Sector". This meeting will cover new technological developments on coconut production particularly planting and replanting systems, varietal improvement, use of selected local elite planting materials and hybrids, coconut-based farming systems, integrated pest and disease management, post harvest processing, and technology updates in the manufacture of emerging coconut products for the domestic and export market, cost effective technologies on integrated coconut processing, and marketing strategies. Experts from the research and development, industry and the private sector will be providing input as Resource Speakers.

6. The Participants of the 47th APCC COCOTECH Conference
All APCC member countries will be represented in the APCC COCOTECH Conference by a Plenipotentiary Delegate. Other senior government officials would comprise the official delegation. UN related agencies and relevant international organizations are invited to participate. Representative from APCC Accreditation organizations, coconut farmers, industry and the private sectors are also invited to participate.
7. Registration Fee :
The meeting is open for public participation. The registration fees are based on the following categories:
1) US$500 for non-government sector participants from non-APCC member countries,
2) US$400 for government sector participants from non-APCC member countries,
3) US$300 for non-government sector participants from APCC member countries,
4) US$200 for government sector participants from APCC member countries.
Registration fee is waived for the Plenipotentiary Delegate or Head of Delegation for an APCC member country.
Early bird registration discounts:
- On or before 22 July 2016 --- 30 %
- On or before 22 August 2016 --- 20%
- On or before 16 September 2016 --- 10%
An administration fee of 25% of the amount paid will be charged upon cancellation.
All registered participants shall be provided with an I.D. card which should be worn throughout the duration of the Conference. Payment of the registration fee will entitle the participant to all activities during the 5-day Conference as indicated in the Programme. The registration fee will also cover participation in the optional Conference Delegate Tour and electronic copy of conference materials.

All payment shall be made on net basis (Full Amount), clear of any commission, bank charges and any other charges.
For Registration on Arrival at the Conference venue, all payments shall be made in cash either in US Dollar or local currency based on current day exchange rate.
8. Registration Form :
The Registration Form is available online at www.apccsec.org. Kindly fill up the registration form and submit it. A notification will be automatically sent to your email account to complete registration procedures.
The 47th APCC COCOTECH Conference is organized for 5 (five) days i.e.: 4 (four) days meeting and one day tour. The detailed program will be published at APCC website in due course. Exhibition of coconut products, posters, equipments and technology is organized for the benefit of the participants.
The Conference venue is at the Ramada Bintang Bali Resort and listed here also are the 3 - 4 star hotels within walking distance to the conference venue. Participants are encouraged to book directly at their choice of hotel. The room rates are inclusive of breakfast and Government Taxes:

All Plenipotentiary Delegates of APCC member countries and sponsored Resource Speakers will be accommodated at Conference Hotel.
Other participants are requested to directly contact the hotel of their preference and inform their details such as name, address and flight details preferably 3 (three) weeks in advance to confirm hotel reservation. Confirmation will be on first-come-first-served basis depending on the availability of rooms. Kindly complete the Hotel Reservation form attached if you require assistance with bookings.
Please be advised that payment is made to the Hotel in person directly using cash, bank debit cards and major credit cards including AMEX, VISA, and MASTER card.
It is requested that participants should contact their respective hotel for airport transfer or may easily take airport taxi and the fare to Kuta area is approximately IDR 100,000 (USD 7.53). A help desk would be provided at airport by Conference organizer to assist participants on arrival.
Airport transport arrangements for official delegates and resource speakers from Ngurah Rai International Airport to hotel and vice versa will be provided by APCC Secretariat. Kindly advise your flight details to the APCC Secretariat by fax at (62-21) 310 1007 or e-mail at apcc@indo.net.id.
As of March 2016, citizens from 169 countries are eligible to enter Indonesia without fee for 30 days and will get Single entry and non-extendable visa. List of the 169-country is attached.
Other participants should obtain their visa from the Embassy of Indonesia in their country or the nearest Indonesian Embassies/Consulates prior to their departure.
It is the responsibility of delegates to secure their own visa requirements for transit purposes in Singapore, Australia, and other countries that may require
Neither the APCC nor the Ministry of Trade of the Government of Indonesia will be responsible for personal accidents, medical services, or damage to the private property of participants. It therefore is highly advisable for participants to make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance during their stay in Bali, Indonesia.
There are many major airlines which fly to Denpasar, Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport DPS) such as Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Qatar Air, Jet Airways, KLM, Cebu Pacific, China Airlines, Air Niugini, Korean Air, EVA air, and Virgin Australia.
The currency used in Indonesia is Indonesia Rupiah (IDR). The exchange rate against US Dollar is approx US$ 1 = IDR 13,285 as of 20 June 2016.
Bali features a tropical rainforest climate with two seasons: rainy and dry. Rainy season lasts from October to March and a drier season covers the remaining 6 months (April September). Average temperatures remain constant throughout the year with average high temperatures at around 30oC and average low temperatures at around 24oC.
An optional tour has been arranged to coconut related sites and touristic locations on Friday 30 September 2016. The tour will start from Conference venue. The itinerary for the tour will be advised later. The attire during the tour may be casual.
