This is an important cultural event of the province aiming to honor coconut trees, coconut products and individuals in the socio-economic activities associated with coconut trees, especially artisans, workers, farmers. People have committed themselves to the coconut tree.
Through the activities of the Coconut Festival, Ben Tre has many conditions to promote the export advantage of coconut products, giving people a deeper understanding of BenTre coconut culture and image, potential and strengths.
Coconut Festival will officially open at 20:00 on November 16, 2019 and close at 20:00 on November 20, 2019 at An Hoi Park, Ben Tre City, Ben Tre Province.
The opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast live by Vietnam Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television, Ben Tre Radio and Television and a number of television channels from neighboring provinces.
The festival includes the main activities such as: Opening and closing ceremonies; Southern Coconut Food Festival; Coconut products exhibition and Trade Fair; Coconut products exhibition area; Honoring coconut trees, coconut products and coconut producers and processors; Workshop "Building, exploiting and developing trademarks of specific products in Ben Tre Province"; "Regarding the coconut tree value chain"; "Experience travel to Ben Tre coconut garden".
In particular, the highlight of the festival is the Cultural - Art - Tourism Week Program with diverse and rich content such as: Organizing community cultural and living spaces; The Miss Coconut Contest ; Street art; performing coconut costumes ...; organizing tours "Experience the river, the garden of Coconut land", combined with promoting tours, eco-tourism destinations, beautiful coconut gardens for tourists to visit; organize campaign games (folk, traditional) for students, workers, coconut farmers to participate.
The Electronic Information Center in collaboration with the Provincial People's Committee Information Technology Center has completed the Coconut Festival website and put it into operation, posting many news, articles and photos related to The Coconut Festival of Ben Tre Province V in 2019.
